D-Day 2020 with World War II Veteran Jack Holder

D-Day 2020. We reflect on the historic events of June 6, 1944. Known forever as D-Day, it was the largest seaborne invasion in military history. There were nearly 20,000 casualties in the battle between bunkered German Troops, and Allied Forces invading the beaches of Normandy, France by sea, and by air. Well over 4,000 Allied Troops never lived to fight another day after playing brave roles in a mission titled, “Operation Overlord.”

In this video, you will hear a powerful D-Day 2020 conversation Thomas Baldrick had with the legendary Jack Holder. Jack is a World War II Veteran. Jack is a resident of Sun Lakes, Arizona. A decorated U.S. Navy Flight Captain, and one of the precious few remaining Pearl Harbor Survivors.

Jack Holder flew 56 dangerous missions over the English Channel and West Coast of France during World War II. He was shipped stateside just before the Normandy Invasion to help with the commissioning of the Consolidated B-24 Liberator, a U.S. Navy Bomber Plane.
